Sergio Kingsley started his career in market research, with A. C. Nielsen Company and then worked in advertising agencies - mainly in senior management roles - in London, Tokyo, Toronto, New York, Mexico City, Sydney, Brisbane and Hong Kong. His last role was as Chairman of McCann Erickson Hong Kong.

He worked in many markets - in Europe, Asia Pacific and North America - with clients such as Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Coca Cola and Cathay Pacific. He launched and re-launched brands, managed established brands, was involved in numerous new business pitches, and worked in product categories from airlines to detergents, furniture to cognac, cosmetics to stationery.

In May 1994, he established his own management development company and in 2004 signed an exclusive agreement to lead AAI's Asia Pacific office
