Russel D. Wohlwerth is a Founding Partner of Ark Advisors, LLC, a U.S.-based consultancy offering services to marketers and advertisers ranging from relationship management to remuneration to agency search. Russel is based in Los Angeles. Previously, Russel was President and co-owner of Select Resources International.
About one-third of Russel's practice is devoted to search with the remainder of his time spent on global client consulting assignments. Russel has extensive experience conducting agency reviews & he has conducted more than 15 global reviews and dozens of domestic searches for companies such as Activision, BMW, HP, Intel, Porsche and Visa. However, he spends more time working at keeping client & agency relationships intact as opposed to presiding over divorces. Russel is also a guest lecturer at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Prior to his management consulting career, Russel spent 20 years in the advertising business. Russel broke into advertising as a copywriter but was eventually wooed by McCann-Erickson to a career in account management. Russel spent the majority of his career in senior management positions at DDB where he worked on categories ranging from financial services to technology, telecommunications, travel & tourism and women's personal care items.
Ark clients include Activision Blizzard, Adobe, Carnival Cruises, Expedia GlaxoSmithKline, Hallmark, HP, Intel, IHOP, Olympus, Porsche, and NYSE/Euronext. Ark has offices in New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, London, Moscow, Sa› Paulo and Sydney.
