Former head of airtime sales and marketing at BSkyB Scotland, Andy Crummey, is to run the new office of Agency Assessments International, based in Edinburgh.
Agency Assessments North will be dedicated to Midlands, North of England and Scottish business, running a search and selection service for creative, media, direct marketing, sales promotion and public relations agencies. David Wethey, chairman of AAI, said: "We have always handled agency selection and relationship management assignments out of London, but opening an office specifically dedicated to the North of England and Scotland enables us to offer an enhanced level of service to clients." Crummey started his career as a sales executive at The Scotsman in 1978. He then worked for 15 years at Scottish Television, working his way through the ranks to become sales and marketing director for Scotland from 1992 to 1995. After that, he joined BSkyB, where he has worked for the past seven years. Crummey said that Agency Assessments North would provide the same benefits of AAI, but with the advantage of intimate knowledge of the regional marketplace. AAI has offices in Ireland, Germany, Singapore and Australia, and links in New York and Paris.
